    浊酒一杯辞朝夕 - [丝竹]

    Pink Floyd——high hopes

     平克·弗洛依德—— 《天望》

    Beyond the horizon of the place we lived when we were young
    In a world of magnets and miracles
    Our thoughts strayed constantly and without boundary
    The ringing of the division bell had begun
    Along the Long Road and on down the Causeway
    Do they still meet there by the Cut

    鸿蒙之初,佥曰无忧;
    心无羁绊,以遨以游。
    靡声四起,各引迷魂;
    割席断袍,与子相阔。
    路漫漫兮,夫何久长;
    他日再逢,殊能成说?

    There was a ragged band that followed our footsteps
    Running before time took our dreams away
    Leaving the myriad small creatures trying to tie us to the ground
    To a life consumed by slow decay

    光阴漂梦,转头成空;
    蝼蚁如魉,无噬我心!
    路漫漫兮,筚路褴褛;
    命若朽枢,蠹坏无计。

    The grass was greener
    The light was brighter
    With friends surrounded
    The nights of wonder

    草长莺飞,有朋笑诉;
    明明闇闇,恍若隔世。

    Looking beyond the embers of bridges glowing behind us
    To a glimpse of how green it was on the other side
    Steps taken forwards but sleepwalking back again
    Dragged by force of some inner tide
    At a higher altitude with flag unfurled
    We reached the dizzy heights of that dreamed of world

    彼岸有桥,卒然焚尽;
    胡瞻乐土,不可求思。
    日行千里,夜堕故地;
    梦擎狂志,左右相制。
    忧心有忡,平地飞升;
    九天之上,无语苍穹。

    Encumbered forever by desire and ambition
    There's a hunger still unsatisfied
    Though down this road we've been so many times
    The grass was greener
    The light was brighter
    The taste was sweeter
    The nights of wonder
    With friends surrounded
    The dawn mist growing
    The water flowing
    The endless river
    Forever and ever

    人欲如辐,置我不前;
    心仍饥谨,适彼远方。
    草长莺飞,有朋笑诉;
    明明闇闇,恍若隔世。
    角宿始旦,薄暮微炯;
    逝者如水,无起无极。

        用诗经之风来翻译英伦迷幻经典,也就别强求我字字相契了吧。现在的心情,大抵如此了。

        伤感?哥一点也不伤感。媳妇儿送来一个蛋糕,把我乐挺了,这不是盗版我以前的作品嘛…

        明日晨钟一响,我的1/3人生,1/4个世纪便跌落尘埃里。人生只似风前絮,欢也零星,喜也零星,且容我斗酒为乐,以恣欢谑。

  • Hallelujah     by Leonard Cohen

    Now, I've heard there was a secret chord
    That David played and it pleased the Lord
    But you don't really care for music, do you?
    It goes like this: the fourth, the fifth
    The minor fall, the major lift
    The baffled king composing Hallelujah

    我正在倾听一段神秘的旋律,
    那是以色列王为取悦上帝所奏。
    不过,你并不真正在意音乐本身,不是吗?
    它是如此流泻的:
    第4段,第5段,小调落下,大调升起;
    心力交悴的国王谱写下赞美之歌-哈利路亚

    Hallelujah, Hallelujah
    Hallelujah, Hallelujah

    Your faith was strong but you needed proof
    You saw her bathing on the roof
    Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew you
    She tied you to a kitchen chair
    She broke your throne and she cut your hair
    And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah

    你坚定的信仰该如何证实?
    你看见她在月夜的屋顶上沐浴,
    她的美貌已将你征服;
    她撤下你的宝座,把你缚在厨房里的椅子上,
    诱惑的手穿过你一丝不苟的头发,
    正是勾引你唱出这首赞美之歌-哈利路亚

    Hallelujah, Hallelujah
    Hallelujah, Hallelujah

    You say I took the name in vain
    I don't even know the name
    But if I did, well really, what's it to you?
    There's a blaze of light in every word
    It doesn't matter which you heard
    The holy or the broken Hallelujah

    你说我盗用了虚无的名义,
    噫唏!又有谁能给虚无命名?
    我尝试这么做了,怎么,关你丫鸟事?
    赫尔墨斯是晓谕和欺骗的两面神。
    你听到什么无关紧要,
    不过是一曲神圣而破灭的哈利路亚

    Hallelujah, Hallelujah
    Hallelujah, Hallelujah

    I did my best, it wasn't much
    I couldn't feel, so I tried to touch
    I've told the truth, I didn't come to fool you
    And even though it all went wrong
    I'll stand before the Lord of Song
    With nothing on my tongue but Hallelujah

    我尽力而为,却所知甚少;
    我无法凭空想象,故而试图探触真实。
    我已经叙述了最简单的真理,我并无意图愚弄你,
    哪怕所有祈祷归于谬误,
    我选择站在王的歌声之上,
    唇齿间反复荡漾着这首哈利路亚之歌。

    Hallelujah, Hallelujah
    Hallelujah, Hallelujah

        Hallelujah来自希伯莱语,意为“赞美你,上帝”,原是一首优美的圣歌。加拿大民谣诗人Leonard Cohen1984年写下了这首歌,并被Bob Dylan, John Cash等人翻唱,其中最好听的版本当属K.D.Lang,最悲伤的版本是Jeff Buckley在94年专辑里的演唱。对我而言,我最喜欢的还是老男人的原版,不紧不慢,悠悠荡荡,满嗓子里都是对现世的悲悯和对被误解的宽容和讪笑。

        普遍认为,年过半百的歌手在这首歌展示了他深沉的宗教情怀,holyshit,还不如说这是首反基督歌曲呢。作为一个看尽繁华和凄凉的老油条,一个有着鲜明思想个性的诗人,到了知天命的年纪还要假模假式的皈依上帝,那他妈才有鬼呢。我的翻译有的地方不很套词,就是试图用意译来表达歌手的创作心理。“cut your hair”这一句我不好把握,因为古代西方也有不剪头发的习俗,剪去头发如果意味着掠夺尊严,也可以说的通。我只是宁愿把“cut”理解成穿过,来解释世俗对信仰的强烈诱惑。再看看这一句:“There's a blaze of light in every word”,直译是说每个唱词后面都有明亮的光芒,似乎可以理解成圣歌沉淀了一份神圣的温情,不用歌词也足以温暖心扉。是吗?真逗。

        “blaze”在英语里还有邪恶之物的含义,那可不可以理解成歌者在进行严肃的语言游戏?上帝早就死了,或者说从没存在过,苦难者依然要忍受苦难,他们的冀望又能以什么作为实体依托呢?不如让他们唱吧,得到心灵慰藉也是好的。好了,你要诘问我对歌曲意味的判断依据是什么?

        最后一段中“I've told the truth, I didn't come to fool you”。你猜我从这句话里找到了谁的影子?

        尼采。
